Common questions
Curious? Skeptical?
Both are healthy. Here are the questions we get most often — with the honest, non-marketing answers.
Getting started
I don’t know what I want yet. Can you still help?
Yes — that’s actually our favorite starting point. The discovery call is free; bring frustrations, wishes, “wouldn’t it be cool ifs.” We turn those into a written scope and a price before you commit to anything.
What’s the smallest project you take on?
A one-week sprint to ship a single agent or automation. We don’t love retainers without a deliverable; we’d rather ship something useful in a week than charge for “ongoing exploration.”
How fast can you start?
Usually within one to two weeks of the kickoff call. Discovery is fast (one call, one written scope), and we run a tight calendar of active engagements.
Scope & pricing
How do you price projects?
Fixed scope, fixed price. After the discovery call we send a written quote with a milestone schedule. No hourly billing surprises, no “well, it depends” conversations halfway through.
What if the project changes mid-flight?
Discoveries during the build are normal. We handle them with a one-page change order — clear scope, clear price, clear sign-off. No scope creep, no scope freeze.
Do you take equity?
Occasionally, for the right kind of partner. Mostly we’re a services business — we take cash and ship software.
Tech & tools
Which AI models do you use?
Whatever fits. We’re model-agnostic and use Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and open-source models depending on the task. We’ll always tell you what we’re using and why, and we design systems so you can swap if needed.
Will my data train someone else’s model?
No. We use API tiers with explicit no-training guarantees, and we sign whatever data agreement your business needs. Sensitive industries (legal, health, finance) get extra attention from day one.
Can you integrate with our existing stack?
Almost always. Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, Airtable, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, custom APIs — assume yes, and we’ll flag it during discovery if not.
After delivery
Who owns the code?
You do. Every project ships with source code, documentation, and a handover doc. We’re partners, not landlords.
What happens when something breaks?
Every project includes a warranty period, and most clients keep us on a small monthly retainer for monitoring and tweaks. We don’t disappear once the invoice is paid.
Can we add to it later?
Yes — and we design for that from day one. Every system we build assumes the next dream is already on the way.
